Terms

Effective October 15, 2026. Written in plain English on purpose.

Playing Letra

Letra is free to play at playletra.com. We work hard to keep it running well, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will never break, go offline, or change.

The source code

Letra's source code is not public at the moment. Versions that were published earlier remain under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0: you may read them, learn from them, and run them for personal, educational, and other noncommercial purposes. You may not sell them, charge for them, or publish them to an app store.

The name, art, voices, and music

The Letra name, the characters, the artwork, the recorded voices, and the music belong to us. Please do not reuse them in a product of your own.

The Letra app

The app is a paid download from Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPad, and from Google Play on Android once the Android app is out. It is subject to that store's terms: Apple's or Google Play's. It is not a subscription. Any optional extras added later are bought through the same store, only from the grown-ups' area of the app. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from. Installing it on another device needs the same Apple ID or Google account, or Family Sharing on iPhone and iPad.

For parents

Letra is made for children aged four to six, though anyone can play it. How long and how often your child plays is your call, not ours.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damages arising from playing Letra or from being unable to play it.
